Registered Provider Search

IMPORTANT: Do you have ahm extras cover? Please note that from 1 July 2009, important changes regarding complementary and alternative therapy providers will come into effect through Private Health Insurance legislation. All private health insurers in Australia will be required to follow this legislation. Providers that don’t meet the requirements under the legislation (being a member of an approved association) won’t be eligible to be recognised by ahm. This means that we won’t be able to pay a benefit for their services following 1 July 2009.

From 1 July, you can check those providers who meet the new accreditation rules. So next time you have any treatment, please check your provider meets the above criteria first. ahm won’t be able to pay benefits towards any complementary and alternative therapy provider who doesn’t meet the criteria from 1 July 2009.
