Basic Hospital

Basic Hospital is designed for younger people less likely to need full cover for certain procedures and treatments. It pays a minimal (default) private hospital benefit for some services like pregnancy, heart, dialysis and hip and knee joint replacements.

It includes access to several disease prevention and chronic disease management programs to help you achieve and maintain good health, including our unique Hospital Substitute Services.

Basic Hospital includes a fixed co-payment that you and each person on your policy pay if admitted to a hospital or day surgery. How the co-payment works.

Basic Extras

Ideal for young singles and couples, Basic Extras pays benefits towards routine dental, optical, physio, chiro, and complementary and alternative therapies, plus a range of health improvement services such as weight loss and quit smoking.
