Our covers are:

  • ahm Overseas Student Health Cover (ahm OSHC)
    ahm OSHC helps you meet your visa requirements and also contributes to the cost of medical bills should you need it.
  • ahm OSHC Extras
    Purchase this cover in addition to ahm OSHC if you want extra benefits for services such as dental treatment and eye checks. We have two levels of extras for you to choose from.

Why you need health cover

You need health cover as a condition of your student visa, so you must be covered for the full length of your visa to its end date. For example, you need to purchase a twelve month policy if you have a twelve month visa, or a nine month policy for a nine month visa. If you don't have student health cover or you let your cover lapse, your visa could be cancelled.

The benefits of ahm OSHC

With ahm OSHC, we have designed a cover to help you with the cost of hospital and medical bills should you need it. For example, the cost of treatment in a public hospital could be as high as $2,500 a day but ahm OSHC pays it for you. And ahm OSHC meets your visa requirements!

You have 2 extras cover choices - ahm OSHC Basic Extras, or for higher benefits and limits, you can purchase ahm OSHC Family Extras (open to singles and couples, as well as families).
