How to claim online
Simple, Quick, and Convenient!
Our online claiming service is quick, easy, and always available. Claim for general extras (ancillary) services, including dental, at your convenience - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
Before you get started, please make sure that you:
- Nominate a HandyClaim Account
We need your payment authority so we can transfer benefits arising from your online claims into your nominated bank account. If you have not already provided this information, you can register for Handyclaim online.
Alternatively, complete the Handyclaim section when you download a Payment form. Send it free of charge to Australian Health Management, Reply Paid 75885, Matraville NSW 2036. If you have any questions, please contact us. - Register for our online services
Once you have registered for a password, you can make claims online as well as check details of your transactions with the fund, view or edit your membership details, and much more! Registering is easy - just enter your membership number and some personal details, then pick a secure password to access online services any time you like. Register now!

Using Online Claiming
Simply follow the prompts by entering details of each claim item in the following sequence:
- Patient details - who the claim item is for and date of service.
- Provider details - the provider's speciality and post code.
- Service details - type of service and cost.
Step 2 contains a handy shortcut for choosing your provider; My Providers. This allows you to select from a list of the most recent providers you have previously claimed for, rather than re-entering their details.
If you need to go back to a previous screen, please use the back button in the claim window. Do not use the Back button in your browser as this will exit you from the claim form.

Review & Edit Claim Items
After entering each claim item, you have a number of opportunities to review the details and make changes as required:
- Once you have completed each step, you can go back and edit that step. These details are displayed at the top of the claim window.
- After you have completed all 3 steps for a claim item, you will see a summary of the details entered and you can make changes here, then continue to enter another claim item, or submit all claim items entered so far for processing.
- If you enter another claim item, you'll notice that any previous claim entries are listed on the right hand side of your screen for ease of reference, and can be edited or deleted as you need to.
Once you have entered all items for this claim and have confirmed all details are correct, select the 'submit claim' option so your claim can be processed.
Payment of Benefits
Once your claim is processed, your benefit will be deposited into your nominated HandyClaim account within 48 hours and we will send you a confirmation letter in the mail. At your earliest convenience, please return this letter with your receipts in the reply paid envelope provided.
Please note: we can only process claims online for services that have already been paid for. Also, we cannot return any original receipts but, we can issue a certified copy if required.
Reconciliation of Claims
