BriteSmile
Now you can get your teeth dramatically whitened in just one visit to our Dental Practices with BriteSmile!
What is BriteSmile?
BriteSmile is a revolutionary teeth whitening treatment that uses patented technology to speed up the whitening process and deliver whiter teeth in just 90 minutes.During the consultation, our dentist will check your teeth and gums to ensure that any problems are fully addressed before the BriteSmile procedure can be administered. Unlike other whitening methods that perform the treatment tooth by tooth, BriteSmile can whiten all 16-20 front “smile” teeth simultaneously. The whole procedure takes just 90 minutes!
A really white smile!
In clinical studies, BriteSmile has achieved an average of eight shades whiter and even higher for those with darker teeth. Results will vary as the starting points may be different and everyone’s teeth respond a little differently.Severe discolouration can be treated with good results though they may require more than the standard 90 minute treatment. The BriteSmile procedure can also be used to remove surface stains from crowns and veneers. However, it cannot change the colour of the caps, veneers or bonds.
During the consultation, our dentist will brief you on what can be expected for your situation.
How long does it last?
Your BriteSmile should last about 2 to 3 years but the long-term results depend on certain habits, like the use of tobacco products, drinking a lot of coffee, tea, red wine and dark soft drinks. It’s also important to have regular checkups with your dentist for standard cleanings. Some people may prefer to do the BriteSmile procedure more frequently.
A safe procedure
The BriteSmile procedure has been proven as safe in several independent clinical studies by universities and researchers. It was also found that it did not soften tooth enamel or existing fillings. Be assured that every step of the procedure is performed by one of our registered dentists to ensure you receive the highest standard of professional care. You may experience a dull “ache” afterwards so it is usually best to avoid hot or cold drinks for the first 24 hours after the procedure. Your clinician will advise you on what to do to minimise any discomfort.
Is BriteSmile for everyone?
Virtually everyone wanting to whiten their teeth can undergo the BriteSmile procedure, even if your teeth have food, coffee, tobacco or tetracycline stains. However we do not recommend performing the procedure if you:- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Are under 18
- Have excessive gum recession
- Have active dental disease
- Have multiple anterior restorations (including crowns and dentures)
- Have severe tetracycline staining.
