As an international student, it is a requirement of your student visa that you have private health insurance for the duration of your stay in Australia. Medicare - Australia's national health program does not cover you. We provide flexible payment frequencies to ensure you can be covered for the full length of your visa.
Check our prices below, effective 1 January 2012. All prices include Goods and Services Tax and are in Australian dollars, and may be subject to change.
Changes to ahm OSHC prices effective 1 January 2012
In 2012, the cost of a 12 month ahm OSHC single policy is $380 and a 12 month ahm OSHC family policy is $1600. This rate applies to all policies purchased on or after 1 January 2012.
For more information on 2012 prices, download the download the ahm OSHC Ready Reckoner for 2012 here.
If you terminate your policy before the scheduled end date, your premium will be recalculated based on the new period and you will be refunded the difference.
Your spouse or defacto partner and your dependant children under 18 years of age can be covered under an ahm OSHC family policy if they are authorised to enter Australia and hold a student visa and live with you while you’re studying. We don’t cover members of your family such as parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, uncles or aunts.
