Health and Medical Research Fund

Australian Health Management established a medical research fund in 1986 to support vital medical research that benefits the whole community. Since then, the Medical Research Fund has directed almost $7 million towards diverse research projects throughout Australia, including:

  • Understanding DNA-binding proteins in the cause of childhood leukaemia
  • How stress affects health
  • Strategies for improving participation in Bowel Cancer screening
  • Cellular changes in brains affected by Parkinson's Disease
  • Development of a Malaria vaccine.

Making a donation

ahm health fund members can arrange to have any amount from 50 cents a week debited with their premium and donated towards the Health and Medical Research Fund. 100% of member donations go towards medical research.
