Who wants to stay in hospital longer than they absolutely have to? What if you could shorten your stay, or avoid a hospital visit altogether, by receiving treatment and other services at home?

ahm's Total Health for Hospital program provides tailored treatment options to keep you out of hospital and assist in a speedy recovery and ahm covers 100% of the cost for policy holders with hospital cover.

This program offers two components:

Assisted discharge (home recovery):

If it's clinically appropriate we can provide a range of services to help you recover in the comfort of your own home. We work with your doctor and hospital staff to make your hospitalisation and recovery easier and more comfortable. To qualify, your stay must be at least 2 or more nights or you are going to give birth at one of our program participating hospitals.

Alternative to a hospital admission

Where clinically appropriate, we can help you avoid a hospitalisation altogether. Experienced Registered Nurses can arrange for treatment and services to be provided at your home during the period of your acute illness.

These programs are only available in participating hospitals, so call us on 134 246 to check eligibility before you need to be admitted. The care programs tailored by our health consultants only include ahm registered providers.
