At our Dental Practices - located in Parramatta, Haymarket and Wagga Wagga - you will find modern well-equipped facilities and professional, experienced staff committed to providing first rate customer service with the latest in dental techniques and infection control.

In line with our preventive approach to health care, ahm’s clinicians and educators are directly involved in delivering quality dental and optical services to you. Our Patient Centred Model illustrates the role each staff member plays in this delivery.

The Dental Practices can cater for most of your dental needs in just one location.

General Dentistry

We can provide a range of general dental services at our Practices, all performed by professional, caring staff. We also offer some no charge services including regular examinations, cleanings and oral hygiene instruction. If you have an eligible extras cover with us (and the available dental limit), these services are performed at no charge to you, with the cost deducted from your limit.

Conscious Sedation Unit

This unit caters for anxious patients or those with complex treatment needs. You are treated in a semi-conscious state, which means that you:

  • Pay little attention to what is going on.
  • Feel relaxed.
  • Remember very little of the treatment.
  • Save the time, expense and trouble of going to a hospital.
  • Can usually go home within an hour of your treatment.

Oral Health Educators

Our oral health educators are professional dental assistants who are specifically trained in teaching oral hygiene techniques so you can properly care for your teeth and gums. An educator provides information and advice in the following areas:

  • Toothbrushing and flossing technique
  • Denture care
  • Dietary needs
  • Hygiene for your crowns, bridges and implants.

On your first visit, you will also receive an Oral Health Kit to help you improve your dental health.

Dental Hygienists

If your dentist has identified specific problems with your gums, they may recommend that you commence a course of treatment with one of the Dental Hygienists at our Practices. These staff members are skilled in finding the location and extent of gum disease and providing your treatment so you can relax knowing you're in good hands.

Diagnostic x-rays may also be taken to identify problem areas in your mouth and help you manage your gum disease. You may need to be referred for periodontal treatment which can also be provided at our Dental Practices.

Specialist Services

We also offer orthodontic and other specialist services.
