Why you need Ambulance Cover

If you don't have private health insurance, but want protection against the high costs involved with Ambulance services, it's important to consider ahm Ambulance Cover. Without this cover, Medicare will help pay for your hospital costs if you are hospitalised after an accident, but will not help with the cost of an ambulance if you need to get to the hospital or transfer between hospitals.

When covered with ahm Ambulance Cover, you can be secure in knowing that if needed, you can use an ambulance anywhere in Australia and not worry about the cost.

What does it cost

An annual membership for a single person is just $47.30 and $94.60 for a family. These rates include the 30% Government rebate on private health insurance. That's less than $1 a week to ensure your peace of mind!

Where am I covered

If you are a NSW or ACT resident you can take out ahm Ambulance Cover only. If you have ahm hospital cover, you are also covered in full for ambulance services.

If you live in NT, SA, VIC or WA we can offer you ambulance services as part of your hospital cover at no extra cost.

If you live in TAS or QLD you're already covered by your state's scheme.
