Make the most of your Health Cover  

Extras cover helps you pay for the everyday costs of staying healthy such as going to the dentist, getting glasses or even natural therapies like naturopathy and health management programs*. But are you making the most of your cover?

Help to reach your health goals

Are you interested in knowing what your health age is? Depending on your level of cover*, you may be eligible to complete an online health evaluation survey. Calculate your 'health age' when you answer simple health and lifestyle questions. It's also a great way to identify health risks and start an action plan to prevent them by enrolling in one of our health management programs*.

Online member services

If you register for online member services, most of your paid Extras claims up to $500 can be processed online straight away. Your benefit will usually be deposited into your HandyClaim account within two working days.

Before you claim, there are a few things you'll need to have ready:

  • Your claim details:
    • your receipt
    • your membership number
    • the date the service was provided (Services that were provided more than two years ago aren't claimable.)
    • the details of the service provider
    • the name and type of service provided, and
    • the cost of the service.
  • A nominated account to have your claims paid into. To set up this HandyClaim account, simply log onto online member services and register for HandyClaim online »
  • A combined limit of $500 applies for online claims and telephone claiming (TeleClaims). Once you send us your receipts your online/TeleClaim limit is reset.

Registering for online services is easy! Once you're registered for online services, you'll be able to claim most Extras online, check your benefit limits, look at your previous transactions with us, view or edit your membership details, and much more!
