At ahm we believe it's important that our members get all they're entitled to. That's why we've removed the 2 and 6 months waiting periods from all our Extras covers.
This means ahm members with Extras cover can claim straight away^ on benefits such as:

- complementary and alternative therapies including naturopathy and remedial massage and
- health improvement benefits including dietitians and nutritionists, Cancer Council UV products, stress management courses and more.
^ Important information: Other waiting periods apply. Claims are subject to benefit limits and benefit conditions, please refer to your policy document for more information. Not all benefits listed are available on all Extras Covers. Claims are only payable if your policy is financial on the date of service. If you were serving a 2 or 6 month waiting period on Extras as at 5 June 2011, claims will only be paid for services provided on or after 6 June 2011. If you have a combined policy, please note that these changes only apply to your Extras policy. There have been no changes to any waiting periods you may be serving on your Hospital policy.

*Offer period 10 April to 31 May 2012. For new principal members taking out a new ahm private health insurance policy. Your premiums must commence from a date within the Offer Period (unless your premium commencement is adjusted upon ahm's receipt of your transfer certificate from another fund) and you must pay first month's premium to receive the 2nd month free. The 2nd month free will commence at the end of the first month. The 2nd month free will be applied to the policy within 10 days of ahm receiving cleared payment of the first month's premium.
