With ahm you don't need to visit an office, wait in line or make a phone call. ahm offers a wide range of online services to our members. The web site allows you to make claims, check your limits, make payments and much more. You can access the web site at almost any time, day or night.

Making claims

Claiming online couldn’t be easier. Once you’re registered for online services, all you need to do is log in and provide the following:

• patient details, including the name and date of service;
• provider details, including their speciality and postcode;
• service details, with details such as cost;
• You’ll also be given several opportunities to review the information and make sure it’s correct.

You can also use the shortcut My Providers, which allows you to select from providers you have claimed for previously.

Once your claim is processed, your benefit will be deposited into your nominated account within 48 hours. You’ll be sent a confirmation letter and envelope so you can send in your receipts and a certified copy will be returned to you if required.

You can also change your cover easily online. Research the cover or package choice that you may want, and then simply select your new cover using the online tools at https://www.ahm.com.au/content/ms/changecover.php.

Other benefits

ahm offers a wide range of extra services for members, and many can be accessed online. You can:

• set a personal health goal through your Health Diary. Choose a health issue you’d like to address, set a target and create an action plan. You can even get coaching along the way.
• get a Total Health Assessment. You simply answer questions about your diet, exercise and medical history and get a clear idea of how healthy you are for your age.
• access Total Health for Pregnancy if you’re a new or expecting mother. ahm provides extra help and information throughout your pregnancy up until your baby is 12 months old.

Registering for online services

It’s easy to register online; you simply visit https://www.ahm.com.au/content/ms/signup.asp and do the following:

• Provide your membership number exactly as it appears on your card, plus some personal information to be cross checked against ahm records;
• Think of answers to two secret questions for added security;
• Create and enter a password.

Once you’ve completed this online registration, you can login to access member services immediately. If you have any trouble, call 134 246 for help.
